Welcome to St. David's

St. David’s Episcopal School has made excellence in early childhood education our specialty since 1954. We are honored to share information about the programs, mission, teachers, events, and experiences available at St. David’s. For 70 years, our mission to “Love God, love learning, and love our neighbor” has been woven into the daily lives of our students and teachers. I am beyond blessed as Head of School to work with the dedicated and talented teachers and staff members who bring this mission to life for our students and families.

Daily chapel allows all our students to learn Bible stories, sing songs, pray, and experience God’s love. Our PreK-4 and Kindergarten students serve as acolytes and prayer leaders during chapel and learn more intimately about the Bible through weekly small group Godly Play lessons. Our nurturing and loving teachers, staff, and community allow our students to experience and witness how God’s love is shared with them through others.

Our students are challenged through developmentally appropriate and fun classroom instruction, discussions, experiments, and exploration. Each of our programs is designed for age-appropriate learning objectives with intentional differentiation made possible by our small class sizes and experienced teachers. St. David’s students leave our school with a strong academic and social-emotional foundation and are well-prepared for the next step in their educational journeys.

Social-emotional learning is a crucial part of learning at St. David’s as it allows our students to build and maintain strong friendships, become an integral part of a group, and learn to be proactive and successful learners. The opportunity for explicit teaching in these areas as well as time to practice new skills in small classes maximizes ultimate success for our students. Opportunities to investigate the greater world around them and experience serving others through different outreach opportunities offer a chance to put these skills into practice.

I encourage you to visit St. David’s to see and feel the loving, nurturing, and dynamic environment surrounding our students.

Blessings,

Anne Ivy
Head of School
